On Wednesday, March 26, 2003, Mr. Takazumi Ishizu, Managing Officer of Transportation Systems at the time*, gave a lecture in SIFER 2003, held in Lille, France. This lecture was given in Le Rail Conference, Session 1 "Major Trends in Railway Industry".
Hitachi's role as a manufacturer has been changing from merely a supplier of rolling stock to a total railway system integrator. Taking an example of privatization of Japan Railway, our way of supporting railway industry is explained thoroughly in this transcript.
