Passenger safety is a primary consideration in the design of Hitachi Monorail System. A unique feature of Hitachi Monorail vehicle among monorail interior designs is the capacity for unobstructed passageways between cars allowing passengers to freely move from car to car.
Furthermore, the experience riding on the Hitachi Monorail is that of a pleasant one, with the sensation of gliding through the air, rather than being boxed into a secluded compartment. Hitachi Monorail cars are designed to bring an open atmosphere to passengers by providing the option for through passageways throughout the train.

Passenger Evacuation

In the rare event of an evacuation, passengers can quickly transfer to a rescue train using one of the two methods illustrated. Plus, full flat floor designs enhance safe boarding/unboarding and mobility within the car by eliminating steps. And walkway evacuation between stations are available, if required.
